Nice surprise… Guille García Hoz en Hipsters from Spain

En Hipsters from Spain entrevistan a Guille García Hoz reconocido interiorista, al que fotografían frente a su flamante mural Catalina Estrada de Coordonné. Personaje creativo que aúna el concepto matemático del caos con la gestación de espacios personales y únicos.

Guille García Hoz is interviewed at Hipsters from Spain, recognized interiorist based in Madrid. He is photographed in front of the awesome Catalina Estrada wallcovering for Coordonné. Creative figure that brings together the mathematic concept of caos with the conception of new unique and personal spaces.

 

Manifesto

Coordonné está pasando por un momento importante, uno que nos tiene absolutamente emocionados, enfrascados en trabajo desde la pasión y las ganas. Sensaciones que advierten el comienzo de una nueva aventura con largo recorrido.

Hace unos días lanzamos la colección “Lara Costafreda”. Un trabajo en el que llevábamos mucho tiempo inmersos. Hemos disfrutado del proceso de  creación, de ver a Lara trabajar, de conocerla, y de estar una y otra vez en el maravilloso estudio de Raquel Quevedo haciendo fotos, videos y reportajes… Sin darnos cuenta ha llegado el calor y esta primavera que todo el proceso anticipa. Ha pasado ya también ese momento que tan absortos nos tenía, el de compartir con el público la experiencia Lara Costafreda en una noche maravillosa en el Cotton House Hotel. Una noche que sirvió para afianzar nuestra ilusión y compartirla con vosotros.

Es el momento. Queremos llenarlo todo de flores y de plantas, de animales libres y salvajes que nos llenan el espíritu de fuerza, instinto y ternura; ha llegado el momento de cambiarlo todo. ¿Preparados para vivir un antes y un después? El interiorismo es la nueva moda y el papel de pared “el nuevo negro”. Queremos ser los pioneros en una transformación desde dentro de la industria del papel pintado, para darle a este el sitio que merece, un sitio nuevo.

Coordonné apuesta por los creadores, y en ello reside nuestra fuerza. Como editores de colecciones de papel pintado de autor damos al espacio una forma nueva, luminosa y con carácter. El poder de transformación que tiene el papel pintado hace que, en poco más de media hora, una casa, un bar, un hotel o una universidad, se conviertan en un sitio espectacular e inesperado. El poder que tienen las mentes, las manos, las visiones creativas de los ilustradores con los que trabajamos crea mundos nuevos con una personalidad única.

Imagínate la pared de detrás de tu cama, blanca, no esta mal, seguro que toda la habitación tiene unos muebles preciosos y es estupendo levantarse cada día ahí, pero imagínala ahora llena de flores, te acuestas por las noches en una selva tropical, haces el amor la jungla, en medio de Barcelona. Es el fin de las paredes blancas.

Que cambie todo. ¡Viva el papel pintado!

Coordonné is going through an important moment, one that has kept us incredibly excited and engaged to our work with passion and devotion. Those feelings that appear every time a new adventure is about to start.  

A few days ago we launched the collection “Lara Costafreda” in which we had been working for a long time. We have enjoyed creating, seeing Lara working, getting to know her, and being again and again in the wonderful studio of Raquel Quevedo, taking pictures, filming videos, and reports… While all this was going on spring has arrived anticipating all the process. Time has gone by, and we have already shared with the public the Lara Costafreda experience in a wonderful night at the Cotton House Hotel. A night that served as a turning point to strengthen our eagerness and to share that thrill with you.

Now is the time. We want to fill everything with flowers and plants, wild and free animals that give us the spirit of strength, instinct and tenderness. It’s time for a change. Are you ready to experience a before and an after? The interior design is the new fashion and wallpaper is “the new black”. We want to be pioneers in a transformation in the industry of wallpaper.   

In Coordonné trusts and commits to creators, and therein lies our strength. As editors of author wallpaper collections, we give to the space a new shape, light and character. The power that wallpaper has to transform spaces makes possible to create in just half an hour a completely new ambient for a house, a bar, a hotel, or a university. Turning it into a spectacular and unexpected place. This, together with the force of the minds, hands and creative visions of the illustrators we work with, creates new worlds with unique personality.

Imagine the wall behind your bed, that white wall, which doesn’t look bad. Certainly the whole room has beautiful furniture and it feels great to wake up there every morning. However now, for a second, imagine this same wall full of flowers; you go to sleep in a tropical wilderness, you make love in the middle of a jungle, without even leaving the city. It’s the end of white walls.

Solo queda un día para «el gran día». Mañana presentamos en Barcelona la nueva colección Lara Costafreda y antes de eso queremos compartir estas palabras que ha escrito sobre ella Maria Almenar, una de las periodistas de moda más reconocidas de Cataluña, gran parte de los contenidos que publica en premsa y radio se pueden encontrar en su blog.

«El imaginario de Lara Costafreda no conoce límites. La artista se mueve entre el mundo onírico y el real a través de paisajes naturales con presencia de elementos orgánicos que rozan el surrealismo a través de la técnica de la acuarela.

Ya hemos hablado un poco de la nueva colección de papeles pintados de Lara Costafreda, pero aún no hemos contado que sólo con verla te trasladas a una selva, bebes el agua que se quedó en las hojas, hueles las flores…

Teníamos que hacer las fotos de la colección y encontramos el lugar perfecto, un oasis de plantas y luz escondido en una nave industrial, el estudio de Raquel Quevedo. Nos encanta cómo este proyecto nos ha llevado a conocer a gente bella y creativa, (hablaremos también de alguna otra persona bonita por dentro y por fuera…), Raquel cambia la organización de su casa, las plantas, las estanterías hechas con ladrillos, cada pocos días, cuelga nuevas creaciones en las paredes en las que podemos ver cómo ha jugado con flores, con pinturas, con materiales encontrados.

Su casa y los diseños de Lara son un tándem perfecto.

Hoy os enseñamos algunas fotos del making off y un pequeño avance de la colección, para verla toda aún tendréis que esperar un poco… pero id apuntando en vuestras agendas esta fecha, 14/05/15, valdrá la pena.

 

We have already talked a little about the new Lara Costafreda wallpaper collection. However, what we hadn’t said yet is that only watching the designs you can travel to a jungle, you can drink the water from the leaves and smell the flowers.

We had to take the pictures for the collection and we found the perfect place, an oasis of plants and light hidden in the middle of Barcelona, Raquel Quevedo‘s study. We love how this project has make us meet beautiful and creative people (we’ll also talk about some other beautiful person…), Raquel’s house changes almost every day, plants, shelves made with bricks move from one corner to the opposite.  There are always new creations hanging on the walls where we can see how she plays with flowers, paintings and found materials.

Her studio and Lara’s designs are a perfect tandem.

Today we show you some pictures of the making off and a small preview of the collection. To see all of it you’ll still have to wait a little bit … but you can already save the date, 05/14/15, Barcelona, it will be worth it.

We truly love… Claesson Koivisto Rune by Engblad & Co

La marca sueca Engblad & Co. creó, hace no mucho, una colección de papeles pintados con el estudio de arquitectura Claesson Koivisto Rune; y a nosotros nos alucina.

Sus papeles consiguen crear ambientes tan puristas como la pared más blanca que te puedas imaginar, pero con personalidad arquitectónica. Por lo visto los diseñadores descubrieron durante el proceso que el papel pintado puede no ser solo un elemento decorativo sino parte de la arquitectura en si.

Aúnan la sobriedad con el desenfado que aportan los colores que han elegido para algunos de sus diseños. Sus motivos van desde lineas y cuadros que evocan tarjetones de esos que llevan arquitectos, ingenieros, escritores… en los bolsillos de sus camisas para no quedarse nunca sin poder anotar una idea; hasta rallas gruesas de colores en gama, pasando por hexágonos que forman cubos, que forman volúmenes, que forman un espacio diferente donde los pongas.

The Swedish brand England & Co. created, not long ago, a collection of wallpapers with the architectural firm Claesson Koivisto Rune; and we love it.

Their designs manage to create purist environments like the whitest wall you can imagine, but with an architectural personality. Apparently the designers discovered during the creative process that wallpapers are not just an embellishment element but an architecture tool by itself.

Sobriety combines with the joviality that the colors they have chosen bring in some of their designs. Their patterns go from lines and squares that evoke the cards that architects, engineers and writers carry in the pockets of their shirts so they never forget an idea; to color thick stripes, to hexagons forming cubes, forming volumes, forming a different space wherever you put them.

 

Dibujando con Lara Costafreda

No podíamos esperar más y ya hemos desvelado en las redes sociales esta noticia que nos tiene tan emocionados. Lara Costafreda es nuestra última colaboradora. Ha creado con nosotros una colección de papeles pintados que huele a primavera y que muy pronto compartiremos al completo junto con otras sorpresas que esperamos os hagan tanta ilusión como nosotros.

Hace unas semanas cruzamos las puertas de su estudio, blanco y lleno de luz, porque, para qué negarlo… somos un poco voyeurs y queríamos ver cómo trabajaba.

Ver cómo se mezclan los colores, ver la mancha que aún no es dibujo en el papel, ver la flor e imaginar la suavidad de sus pétalos, ver a la artista en acción.

We could not wait any longer and  in fact we already revealed last monday on social networks these news that had kept us so excited. Lara Costafreda is our latest partner in crime. She has created with us a wallpaper collection  that smells like spring, and we will soon  share it completely along with other surprises that we hope will make you as passionate as we are.

A few weeks ago we crossed the doors of her studio, white and full of light, because, we have to confess … we are a little bit voyeurs and we wanted to see how she worked.

See how the colors blend, see the stain on paper that is not yet a draw, see the flower and imagine its softness, see the artist in action.
